Call for Applications: 2026 AAM Conference Grants for Emerging Professionals
Museum Council AAM Grant Application
In May 2026, the American Alliance of Museums Conference will be held in Philadelphia. The Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia has resolved to set aside funding for two $800 grants for Philadelphia area museum professionals or students to assist with attending the conference.
Finalists will be announced early January, 2026, with the hope that they will be able to take advantage of the AAM Super Early Bird Rate (ending January 16th, 2026).
Eligibility
Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
Be pursuing or have completed education in a museum-related field
Be an emerging museum professional (typically 0–10 years of experience)
Must be a member of the Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia, which we define as the "Philadelphia region, including surrounding counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware."
Grant Recipient Responsibilities
Selected recipients must agree to:
Attend the full AAM 2026 Conference.
Provide a post-conference reflection in the form of either:
A short blog post
Social media content (e.g., Instagram takeover, reel, thread, etc.)
