Museum Council Announces Micro and Nano Grant Opportunities

The Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce our 2025 grant recipients. Up to $2,500 was made available, in 2025, in form of two, $850 "micro grants" and two, $400 "nano-grants" to support projects, or components of projects, with sustainable high-potential-impact at museums and similar institutions in the Philadelphia region, including surrounding counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. 

The MC will awarded the microgrants and nanogrants (“grants”) to support the success of new projects or components of larger projects; to kickstart, continue, or even finish new initiatives; to improve or enhance an existing program; or to fund small wish list items which carry large impacts.

Projects—or components of larger initiatives—supported by the grants should have as much impact beyond the funding cycle as possible. The funds may go to a variety of project types. Examples of potential grant-funded projects include, but are not limited to:
