Board Member Spotlight: Brittany Benson

Where do you work? What is your job title and what do you do?

• I currently work at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Talent Acquisition Lead. I focus on recruitment strategies to attract talent to the organization. 

What have you read lately?

• I tend to gravitate toward books about psychology and self-care. Currently I'm reading Thriving as an Empath by Judith Orloff, MD.
  

Why did you join the Museum Council? 

• I joined the Museum Council to continue supporting and being a part of a thriving community of individuals who care about museums and all they have to offer. I grew up going to museums on school field trips and family outings. Museums are a core part of how I learn and appreciate art in all forms. 

What are you excited about right now?

• I am excited about summer! I'm also thrilled to be part of MC to help people connect and network. 

Advice for young professionals?

• Get a mentor! Mentors are very beneficial not only for professional growth, but also for personal growth. Don't be afraid to try something new, stepping outside of your comfort zone is a great way to see what else you are capable of and have fun!
