Join the Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia as we explore Fireman's Hall Museum! The museum is located in the 1902 Engine Company Number Eight firehouse, nestled among the narrow streets of Philadelphia's Historic District. The collection is dedicated to the art and science of firefighting over the last three centuries and promoting fire prevention safety. With objects ranging from horse-drawn fire carriages to fire insurance marks, visitors can see exhibitions looking at all perspectives of firefighting. The Philadelphia Fire Department operates the museum, whose members serve as docents and offer passionate explanations about the collection.
